Affiliate Program Terms

Eligibility and approval

You need a Writopin account with a verified email address. Applying does not guarantee approval: each application is reviewed by our team, which may approve or decline it. If an application is declined you may apply again only if we have opened reapplication.

You may have one affiliate account. You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live.

Qualified referrals

A referral qualifies when a new customer who first reached Writopin through your link creates a verified account and their workspace successfully pays for a subscription. Clicks, sign-ups, free accounts, free trials, failed payments and unpaid invoices never earn commission.

Existing paying customers, accounts you own or belong to, and extra workspaces created by someone who already has an account are not new referrals.

Attribution

A customer is attributed to the last eligible affiliate link they used before signing up, within 30 days where cookies are accepted. Once an account is created its attribution is final and cannot be replaced by a later link. We count visits without storing who the visitor is, and we do not count automated traffic.

Commission

You earn 20% of the amount a referred customer actually pays for a subscription, after discounts and excluding tax, for their first 12 paid months. An annual payment is a single payment that uses up the whole period. We calculate with exact amounts and round to the nearest smallest currency unit.

The rate that applies to a referral is the rate in force when that referral was accepted. If we change the program later, the change applies to new referrals only.

Holding period

Each commission is held for 30 days after the customer's payment. After that we check the payment again before it becomes available. We may hold commissions longer while we review a payment, a dispute or suspected misuse.

Refunds, disputes and reversals

If a customer is refunded, the commission is reduced in proportion. If a payment is disputed, its commission is held until the dispute is decided and reversed if it is lost. Commission can also be reversed if the activity was not genuine.

If a commission has already been paid and is later reversed, the amount is recorded as a debit and set against your future earnings. We will not take money from you any other way without your agreement.

Customer welcome offer

Eligible new customers may receive 10% off their first paid invoice. We decide eligibility, and the offer may change or end for new referrals.

Payouts

Payouts are available once your available balance reaches the minimum ($25.00) and your payout details have been verified by our team. We pay by the methods we have switched on for the program and may need more information to confirm who you are. A payout is marked paid only after we have sent the money.

You are responsible for any taxes on what you earn. We do not give tax advice.

How you may promote Writopin

You must make clear that you may earn a commission when you share your link, in a way people will notice. Do not make promises about results, earnings or discounts that Writopin has not offered, and do not say you are officially partnered with Writopin or Pinterest.

• No spam, unsolicited bulk messages or messages to people who would not expect to hear from you.
• No fake accounts, fake clicks, incentivised fake sign-ups or self-purchases.
• No cookie stuffing, forced clicks or hidden redirects.
• No search or social advertising that bids on the Writopin name in a misleading way.

Self-referrals and misuse

You may not refer yourself, your own workspace or a workspace you belong to. We may hold, reverse or refuse commission for activity we reasonably believe is not genuine, and may suspend or end your membership. We will tell you if we do.

Privacy and consent

We use a short code in your link and, only if a visitor accepts cookies, a cookie that remembers it. We keep counts of visits without storing who the visitor is. You are responsible for having a lawful basis to contact anyone you invite, and for following the marketing and privacy rules that apply to you. See our Privacy Policy and Cookie Disclosure.

Suspension and ending

We may suspend or end your membership if you break these terms. You may leave at any time by telling us. When membership ends your link stops working. Commission already earned and verified stays payable, less any reversals.

Changes to the program and these terms

We may change the program or these terms. We will tell you about important changes, and a change to rates or terms applies to new referrals from the date it takes effect. The version you accepted is recorded with your application.

Disputes and contact

If you disagree with a decision about your application, your commission or a payout, contact us through the contact page and we will review it. These terms are governed by the law that governs the Writopin Terms of Service.
